GECA Certification
Laminex Australia is proud to offer a range of GECA certified products. GECA is Australia’s only independent, not-for-profit, multi-sector ecolabelling program and the only Australian member with GENICES recognition from the Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN). When you see a GECA ecolabel you know that the product or service you are considering has been rigorously assessed for its environmental impact over its life cycle and that it is a better choice for you, your family, colleagues and our planet.

Declare Label
Laminex holds Declare Red List Approved labels for its manufactured products. The Declare label, developed by the International Living Future Institute (ILFI) discloses:
- all ingredients in the product, down to 100 parts per million (ppm)
- manufacturing location and end-of-life options
- compliance with the Red List
The Red List is a list of chemicals and materials considered harmful to human well-being and the environment, commonly found in building products. Achieving Declare certification shows Laminex’s commitment to material health and sustainability, and helps our customers to make informed choices for healthier spaces.
GECA and the Living Future Institute of Australia (LFIA) have partnered to make it simpler and more rewarding for organisations to pursue credible, transparent sustainability certifications. GECA's lifecycle ecolabel and LFIA's Declare label are both recognised under the Green Building Council of Australia's Green Star rating system, with their cumulative impact giving project teams and product manufacturers a clear pathway to achieving best practice sustainability outcomes with high Responsible Product Value scores.
Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)
Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) present transparent, verified, and comparable information about the life-cycle and environmental impact of products and services.
Laminex’s independently verified EPDs provide important product-specific emission data to help the industry measure and reduce embodied carbon emissions in their projects. Recognised under GBCA’s Responsible Products Framework, our EPDs contribute to credits for responsible finishes, upfront carbon, and lifecycle impacts within Green Star tools.
