Over nine decades ago, Laminex founder Bob Sykes, began creating lamiantes in a modest workshop in suburban Melbourne.

Since then, our offering has expanded and diversified to include contemporary laminate and board variations, wall panelling, acrylic surfaces,and beyond. While Laminex has continuously embraced innovation and expansion, our core ethos remains unchanged: we believe that every Australian deserves great quality products, and great quality design.



A Brief History of Laminex

Laminex pioneered laminates in Australia, creating a household brand synonymous with the product.  With a legacy of Australian manufacturing firsts and design-led inspiration, Laminex continues to innovate and expand.  We remain a key part of Australian homes and workplaces to this day,  proudly shaping a future where style and sustainability intertwine to create better spaces for all.
